Last year, I wrote a post about University of Pennsylvania psychologist Angela Lee Duckworth’s finding that grit—the stamina to pursue goals, stick with difficult tasks, and overcome challenges—is the best predictor of success in a kid. Not surprisingly, it’s also a trait that colleges appreciate in applicants.
