This month, Collegewise vice president and counselor extraordinaire, Arun Ponnusamy, will be speaking at two events in the San Francisco Bay Area.
“Harvard, Berkeley, or Bust!”
Featuring Arun Ponnusamy
Wednesday, March 18 from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Santa Clara University
Benson Memorial Center-California Mission Room
500 El Camino Real
Santa Clara, CA 95050
Have you ever wondered what it really takes to get into a school like Harvard? While this seminar alone will not get students into Harvard (if it could, we’d need a LOT more seats), Arun will discuss how schools like the Ivy League, Stanford, Northwestern and the rest of the nation’s most selective colleges make decisions from pools full of the most qualified applicants. He will also explain what those admitted students do to set themselves apart from the rest of the applicant pool, and we’ll reveal some Collegewise strategies to improve a student’s chances of admission.
“Conversation with Collegewise”
An informal Q & A with Arun Ponnusamy
Thursday, March 19 from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Café La Renaissance in Berkeley
3045 Shattuck Ave.
Berkeley, CA 94705
More about Arun
Arun has worked in the admissions offices of some of America’s most highly-selective universities, including UCLA, Caltech, and the University of Chicago. Yes, he knows what it takes to be admitted at those schools. Now a college counselor and a vice president at Collegewise, he also knows that every student needs to create a smart and balanced college list to help find the right colleges for them. This admissions veteran will share his thoughts on making the college application process one that is successful, enlightening, and even downright enjoyable.
To RSVP for one or both events, just send an email to infobayarea@collegewise.com and tell us your name, which event(s) you’d like to attend, and how many spaces you’d like to reserve.
We hope to see you there.
