Do you spend your days doing things that you have to do, or things that you get to do? Happy and successful people seem to lean heavily towards "get to do." And this is as much about attitude as it is about what they’re actually doing.
For high school students, yes, you have to be in school every day. But the happiest and most successful students get to go to their favorite class. They get to learn from a favorite teacher. They get to challenge themselves and learn new things. They appreciate the opportunities that are available to them in high school. They’re “getting to do” these things all day not just because of what they do, but also because of how they choose to approach it.
If you find that you’re spending most of your days doing “have to’s” consider making some changes to your to-do’s or to your attitude.
