“I’ve been really busy.”
“(Person of authority) doesn’t like me.”
“There was traffic.”
“My phone wasn’t charged.”
“It’s all political…”
“Nobody else in the group got a good result”
“Everybody made the same mistake.”
If you’re a high school student making excuses like this, stop. These aren’t the words of successful students who are going places. And the world isn’t going to respond well to you if you keep this up as an adult.
And parents, don’t let those excuses fly in your house. Your kids deserve unconditional love, but excuses don’t deserve unconditional acceptance.
