Here are five blogs in my reader, all of which get frequent attention here for good reason.
1. 37signals
37signals is a web-based software company. And while their company blog sometimes discusses coding and other subjects I don’t understand, they also write a lot about business and customer service. Their book, Rework, is excellent, too.
2. Class Struggle
You won’t find someone with a healthier perspective on the college admissions process than Jay Mathews of the Washington Post.
3. Finaid.org
Everything you ever wanted to know about financial aid and scholarships is here, courtesy of its writer and curator, Mark Kantrowitz. In fact, this is one of those rare websites where it’s almost hard to believe he’s giving away all this information for free.
4. Seth Godin
I started reading Seth Godin's daily blog about marketing, business, productivity and a variety of other subjects in 2006. I haven’t missed a day since and neither has he.
5. Study Hacks
Study skills author Cal Newport writes about, well, study skills. But he also discusses college admissions, personal productivity and how to live a fulfilling work life.
