Bonus tip: If your study skills could use some work, buy Cal Newport's How to Become a Straight-A Student. He wrote it for college students, so there are parts that won't apply to you. But there's plenty of application for high school students, too. I've never met Cal and have no professional association with him. But I reference him often on this blog because his advice on study skills, organization and time-management is some of the best I've seen.
