Juniors, as you start to research your colleges and visit your schools’ websites, don’t miss those links that invite you to request more information. Even if you’re already sure you want to apply, there are two reasons why you should submit those online forms.
First, you’ll be alerted when there are opportunities to learn more. If the college is planning a visit to your high school, or the alumni are holding a local event for interested applicants, or admissions officers will be staffing a table at a local college fair, the college can email you an announcement. You won’t miss out.
Second, many colleges track all of your contact like emails, visits, and attendance at local events. Submitting an inquiry form counts as a contact, and the alerts you’ll get will give you even more chances to show your interest as you get closer to applying.
